As the Seattle Sounders prepare to face the Houston Dynamo at CenturyLink Field, we consider three factors which could decide the outcome.

The Seattle Sounders are in the ascendancy right now. That’s what happens when you win four straight, including a 2-1 victory in their last game, in Vancouver.

You can even go as far as to say the recent run saved the Sounders’ season. At one point, they seemed almost certain to end their proud run of making the playoffs every year since entering MLS in 2009.

Instead, Seattle now stand on the verge of arguably the biggest single-season turnaround in franchise history. It helps that they are now in control of their own destiny with three games remaining, including two in the friendly confines of CenturyLink Field.

Next up are the Houston Dynamo, who the Sounders stole a point from with a last-gasp equalizer, the last time the two sides met back in August. We take a look at three factors, which will play a major part in determining the outcome on Wednesday night.
