3) CenturyLink Field holds no fear for the Crew

While some may question the validity of home field advantage throughout MLS in general, the Sounders are one of the few teams to escape such scrutiny. Regularly leading the league in attendance, David Beckham famously once said CenturyLink Field was the one place in North America with an atmosphere comparable to Europe.

Regardless, any perceived advantage appears lost on the ears of the Crew when they face the Sounders in the Pacific Northwest. Columbus has won on their last two trips to Seattle.

Further, even though the Sounders have a slight edge in the all-time series (4-3-3), the Crew have won three of the last four clashes. This includes a thrilling 3-2 victory when the two sides met last May, at MAPFRE Stadium.
