4) Russell Wilson still hasn’t reached his ceiling

Russell Wilson has just completed the greatest individual regular season in Seahawks history. Among other things, he set team records for passing yards, touchdown throws, completion percentage and passer rating.

What’s scary about this is that he still hasn’t reached his ceiling. Think about it – he only really started rolling in the last seven games of the season.

What’s been most satisfying about Wilson’s development is that he has been able to prove himself as a pocket passer, while retaining his illusive ability to scramble for key yards. In fact, he set a record as the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for another 500 in the same season.

The Seahawks will obviously be hopeful that Lynch can return next week and bring beast mode back to the field. However, if he struggles to shake off the rust, Wilson has proven that he can carry the offense on his shoulders.
