1) Andrew Andrews is the real deal

In  many respects, Huskies fans were already aware of how good Andrew Andrews is. However, to see him come through on the big stage reaffirmed this.

The senior matched a career-high, with 35 points against UCLA. What was most impressive, was how he raised his game as the pressure mounted, with 27 of his points coming in the second half and during the two overtimes.

This included a key three-pointer, followed by a steal and a dunk during the second overtime period. These two quick scores gave the Huskies a 90-85 lead with 2:05 remaining, and they never looked back.

Speaking to Percy Allen of the Seattle Times after the game, Andrews said: “Anytime the game gets close, something in me wants to make some type of play…It was a great, great test for us and I’m glad we came out on top.”
