7) Jimmy Graham traded to the Seahawks

There are certain moments in history, when you remember exactly where you were, when you heard about them: the JFK assassination, Neil Armstrong landing on the moon, the end of the cold war and so on.

This is not an attempt to compare Jimmy Graham‘s arrival from New Orleans to any of these stunning events, but it was certainly a sporting moment which made everyone around the NFL sit up and take notice. The trade instantly made the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl favorites:

At the time, this prediction seemed to make perfect sense. You were basically adding one of the best tight ends in football to a team which came within one bone-headed play of winning it all against the New England Patriots.

Of course, it’s fair to say things haven’t exactly panned out as planned, with Graham’s torn right patellar tendon summing up his frustrating season. Regardless, his return to full fitness in 2016 should see the Seahawks continue to contend next season, especially with a quarterback who has taken his game to the next level.
