10) Sounders set a new franchise record for average attendance
The Seattle Sounders have enjoyed impressive support ever since they joined MLS. In fact, they have led the league in attendance every year, since their inaugural season in 2009.
Along those lines, they took it to another level in 2015, with an average attendance of 44,247. That figure beat the Sounders previous franchise record of 44,038, which was set in 2013.
Additionally, Seattle’s attendance ranked second in the Western Hemisphere. In the process, they overtook English Premier League team Liverpool in the global rankings.
As a final note, the Sounders current MLS sellout streak stands at 124 consecutive matches, also a league record. It doesn’t really do it justice, but here’s the fans in full voice before the friendly against Chelsea:
