We take a look back at the last 12 months and select the top 10 Seattle sporting moments provided by the Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders, Huskies and Cougars.

The Seattle Sports scene has come a long way since 2008. You will likely remember that as the year the Supersonics left town and the Mariners become the first MLB team with a $100 million payroll to lose 100 games in a season.

On top of that, the Huskies and Cougars went 0-12 and 2-11 respectively, while the Seahawks plummeted to a 4-12 record in Mike Holmgren’s final year. Yes, it was definitely a dark time for Seattle sports fans.

Now, fast forward to 2014, and everything had been turned on its head. The Seahawks took home their first ever Super Bowl trophy, the Sounders won the Supporters Shield and the Mariners took their push for the playoffs all the way to the final game of the season.

In many respects, this year represented a step back, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t still filled with memorable highlights. We now present the top 10 Seattle sports moments of 2015.
