(24) Kevin Pierre-Louis, OLB – Such high hopes for KPL. Just needs more reps to trust what he sees, then let that athleticism flow freely. Should be a really good WLB in time, though missed tackles this preseason are alarming.
(23) J.R. Sweezy, G – Cable is a lot higher on him than this, but some of the clean beats he gives up are scary. Lots of room for improvement in pass pro but certainly a force in the run game.
(22) Luke Willson, TE – Lost in the shuffle behind the acquisition of Graham, the Handsome Hobo has brought occasional breakaway speed to the TE room and is a better blocker than Jimmy Graham, thankfully.
(21) Ahtyba Rubin, DT – Say it with me now- “Uh-TAH-buh ROO-bin.” If we get the Rubin from his pre-leg injury days in Cleveland, he’s an absolute steal and ideal early-down 3-tech in this defense.
(20) Clint Gresham, LS – Again, he’s great at what he does. Long snaps are taken for granted until one flies through the back of the end zone. Though, admittedly, it’s never not hilarious watching a punter chase after a rolling football with superior athletes closing in like a wildlife scene in the Serengeti.
