After being signed as an undrafted free agent in 1984, Nash would go on to play in a team record 218 games in 15 seasons with the Seahawks. While he may have benefited from playing next to Cortez Kennedy, Kennedy undoubtedly benefited from playing next to Joe Nash. Nash ranks second in team history with 743 tackles and sixth with 47.5 sacks.
