Ten Best UDFA’s In Seattle Seahawks’ History

9) Jon Kitna 1997-2013 (Four years with Seahawks)

From Lincoln High School to Central Washington University to the Seattle Seahawks, Jon Kitna was a local superstar for a long, long time.

When Mike Holmgren took over in Seattle before the 1999 season, Kitna, in his third year with the team, became the starter. He threw for 3,346 yards and 23 TD’s that year. He also led the Seahawks to a 9-7 record and their first playoff appearance in 11 years.

Kitna would have a 16-year career and spend seven of them as a full-time starter. After retiring, he took over as math teacher and head coach at his alma mater, Lincoln High School in Tacoma.
