Ten Biggest Winners of the 2015 NFL Draft
6) New Orleans Saints
- 1 (13) Andrus Peat, Stanford OT
- 1 (31) Stephone Anthony, Clemson ILB
- 2 (44) Hau’oli Kikaha, Washington OLB
- 3 (75) Garrett Grayson, Colorado State
- 3 (78) P.J. Williams, Florida State CB
- 5 (148) Davis Tull, Tennessee-Chattanooga OLB
- 5 (154) Tyeler Davidson, Fresno State DT
- 5 (167) Damian Swann, Georgia CB
- 7 (230) Marcus Murphy, Missouri CB
New Orleans has had a largely inconsistent O-line besides Jahri Evans the past few seasons. Adding Max Unger (with a fourth round pick) and Andrus Peat will do wonders for Drew Brees and the offense.
But this group is good for the Saints because of what they added defensively. Stephone Anthony should enter the linebacker rotation, but Hau’oli Kikaha will be an immediate contributor off the edge. Kikaha is a perfect fit for Rob Ryan’s attacking 3-4 scheme and Parys Haralson isn’t what he used to be.
Hau’oli may not bring down as many QB’s as he did in 2014 for the Washington Huskies (19), but I think he could achieve that total by the end of his second season for sure. P.J. Williams and Davis Tull were also a pair of REALLY good mid-round picks.
