Seattle Sounders: Four Keys Ahead of Portland Timbers Clash

The Sounders usually have a decided advantage when facing the opposition at CenturyLink Field. And this is no different in the case of the Timbers.
Since Portland came into the league in 2011, the sides have met five times in Seattle in regular season play. The Sounders have yet to lose, winning three of the games, while in the process scoring eight goals and conceding just two.
However, there’s a twist here, with the Timbers having won 2-1 in the one MLS Cup playoff game the two sides played in Seattle (in 2013). You better believe that one still hurts the Sounders, especially as Portland went on to win the conference semi-final 5-3 on aggregate.
