Washington Husky Football Recruiting: National Signing Day Results
National signing day action is just about over, and barring any last minute surprise additions, Chris Peterson and the Washington Huskies be adding 24 new members to the roster.
There were, surprising, no last minute commits or decommits. The 24 that were expected to fax in their LOI’s, faxed in their LOI’s.
The 2015 class is highlighted by Jake Browning, the #8 rated QB in the country according to Scout.com. Browning will no doubt compete for the starting job with Cyler Miles and Jeff Lindquist.
The class does include seven other 4-star recruits: Benning Potoa’e (#18 DE), Henry Roberts (#23 OT), Austin Joyner (#29 CB), Myles Gaskin (#34 RB), Isaiah Renfro (#29 S), Trey Adams (#34 OT) and Chico McClatcher (#45 WR).
Potoa’e comes to UW from the pipeline that is Lakes high school in Lakewood.
Among the dozens of former Lancers who went on to play for UW including, Jermaine Kearse, Jamaal Kearse, Anthony Russo, Reggie Williams, Darius Waters and Sione Potoa’e, Benning’s brother.
The rest of the national signing day 2015 class is made up of S Ezekiel Tuner (#38 JUCO), Ben Burr-Kirven (#43 MLB), DJ Beavers (#44 OLB), Tevis Bartlett (#48 OLB), Mike Neal (#56 TE), Ricky McCoy (#68 DT), Kyler Manu (#86 OLB), Jordan Miller (#89 CB), Quinten Pounds (#95 S), Jason Scrempos (#96 DE), Jared Hilbers (#107 OT), Jusstis Warren (#113 OLB), Andre Baccellia (#201 WR), Bryce Sterk, AJ Carty and Myles Rice.
