Niners rookie Chris Borland has been the surprise of the year at middle linebacker. He finds way to get into the backfield as well as any LB in the league.Ahmad Brooks,Aaron Lynchand Aldon Smith are obviously no slouches either.

For the ‘Hawks, the return ofBobby Wagnerhas made all the difference. He does so many things for the defense, and is one of the best MLB’s in the NFL. KJ Wright is as consistent as always andBruce Irvinis finally becoming a complete three-down player.
