Seattle Mariners Offseason Prediction: Nelson Cruz (4 years, $55 million)

WithVictor Martinezoff the market, Nelson Cruz is the only remaining proven power-hitting free agent.

As I said in therealistic version, Cruz had his best slash line since 2010 in all three categories with a .271/.333/.525 and a career-best 4.7 WAR.

Putting a 40 HR bat in betweenRobinson CanoandKyle Seagerwould create a downright scary middle of the order for opposing pitchers.
