Seattle Mariners Offseason Prediction: Who Do The M’s Resign?

Joe Beimel: 1 year, $2 million

Here is our list of expired contracts:

As I mentioned earlier in the article, the M’s will definitely think about bringing Endy Chavez back for depth and clubhouse morale purposes.

The only other player on that list worth bringing back is Joe Beimel. The Mariners’ bullpen was LIGHTS OUT this past season, but they are very thin on lefties. Charlie Furbush and Lucas Luetge are the only other southpaws in the ‘pen.

Beimel (2.20 ERA, 1.18 WHIP), along with rookie Dominic Leone (2.17 ERA, 1.16 WHIP), had the best numbers for Seattle this past season. While Furbush (3.61) and Luetge (5.00) were near the bottom in terms of ERA.
