Seahawks vs Raiders Preview: Quarterback

Russell Wilson has been up and down so far this season. Last week, he was both. The Seahawks offense struggled to move the ball, and when they did put a drive together, they would turn the ball over. But when push came to shove, he drove the team 80 yards in 3:50 for the game-winning touchdown.

Something worth noting is that Cooper Helfet, Kevin Norwood, Paul Richardson, and Luke Willson were the receivers that Russell threw to on that drive. Raise your hand if you predicted those four saving the ‘Hawks bacon at any point this year.

Derek Carr has been easily the most impressive rookie QB of his class so far. His numbers haven’t been great, with just over 200 ypg, 9 TD’s, 5 INT’s and a 48.9 QBR. But you can only do so much with the mess they have in Oakland. His future is bright, but Russell should outplay the rookie on Sunday.
