Actual signs of growth
Again, we have to go back to the 16-win improvement. That is a big jump, and one that was not necessarily expected from this team. Will the Mariners jump another five to 10 wins in 2015?
Certainly a possibility.
The competition on the American League West is going to remain fierce. The Los Angeles Angels will not go away. The Oakland A’s always seem to find a way to hang around. The Houston Astros will be better and the Texas Rangers will rebound from their injury-plagued season.
For now, there is optimism about next season and that should continue throughout the winter, particularly if the Mariners are able to sign a legit bat. Get excited, Mariners fans. 2015 could be a special year.
