I’ll root for UW alum Donald Butler 15 weeks a season. This is the odd week out.
Butler signed a 3 year extension worth $20 million, but with major escalators in years four through seven if the team decides to pick up the option. The deal could end up being 7 years and $48 million. That shows how much the Chargers value him. He is already the team captain and has been second to Weddle in tackles over the last three years.
Manti Te’o and Melvin Ingram will both look to make strides from their rookie year and sophomore years.
As I said last week, the versatility in our linebackers is something I wouldn’t trade for just about any group in the NFL.
