The other stat that leapt out to me were the number of penalties the Seahawks garnered. They had a total of four…four! None of which were illegal contacts or defensive holding calls…um, ahem…take that whiners. Just sayin’.

And although Seattle had more penalty yards that Green Bay it was encouraging to see less total penalties called. Seattle is becoming more disciplined…or maybe they are become more adept at getting away with it. I’ll plead the latter.

And let’s not forget about the 12th man, whom I should always tip my hat to. Thanks for showing up, supporting and causing general mayhem for the Packers. It is a love affair that Harlequin romance readers would be proud of.

All in all, the Seahawks look to be in mid-season form in week 1. I think the rest of the league should be on notice, the Seahawks didn’t enter this season happy to rest on their laurels and call themselves ‘champions’, it is evident they want to take this ride again.

It is almost as if the world is their oyster…and an Aquarius Remigis is skimming the water’s surface above. Go Hawks!
