I didn’t just pick this word because we love it here at Emerald City Swagger. I picked it because it defines this Seahawks team.
Now granted, the ‘Hawks have been saying all the right things this preseason. They aren’t going to get ahead of themselves. They have to take one game at a time. Thinking about the Super Bowl right now is not smart.
Still, it is hard to set aside the reality that this team is still really, really talented. They are the defending Super Bowl champs, and that means something.
This team is not cocky, but you had better believe that it is confident. Confidence is good, particularly on this stage.
The Seahawks have an opportunity to basically say, “Remember us? We’re still around, and we’re still the champs.” Against the Green Bay Packers, the Seattle Seahawks will do just that. They will win this game and get the 2014 season started off right.
