Pride and defense

Finally, there is the issue of defending your beloved franchise. Being a Mariners fan has not always been easy. Sure, it was fun when Junior was hitting bombs in the Kingdome andRandy Johnsonwas blowing dudes away with his mighty mane of intimidation.

However, there have been some tough years. In general, the Mariners are not exactly a respected franchise around the country. The true Mariners fan, when asked, will proudly state that they love their M’s. Take that, and so there.

Postseason hardware? Not a lot. A long list of recognizable stars throughout their history? Not exactly.

Ultimately, that doesn’t matter. What matters is that you will defend your Mariners. They have frustrated you for years, but they areyourpersonal source of frustration.

You are a true fan, and you will always shout, “Go M’s!”
