The Mariners have, arguably, the best pitcher in the American League in Felix Hernandez. Hisashi Iwakuma is also awesome, and remains an underrated talent.
Throw in an amazing year from Chris Young and solid contributions from James Paxton and Roenis Elias, and you have a pretty talented pitching staff. Talented enough to lead the Mariners to the postseason? Yes.
Now, everyone has to stay healthy and avoid any sort of Garrett Richards situation. If these Mariners starters can stay on the mound, they have a shot at being the key to earning a postseason spot.
