Are the Seattle Mariners done shopping? Is this the final list of players that Lloyd McClendon will need to choose from in order to build the 2014 team? Or, are the Mariners just waiting for prices to come down as opening day approaches?
Time is running out, and soon the new season will be upon us. Do the Mariners get another bat and make Robinson Cano just a little bit happier? Should Seattle sign another pitcher to at least partially address the injuries to Hisashi Iwakuma and Taijuan Walker?
If players are not going to be signed, could there possibly be a trade in the work?
As I wrote yesterday, it is not clear whether the Mariners have any money for additional players right now. It may be that Jack Zduriencik is just in the midst of long negotiations with agents. Until certain players are finally signed and taken off the market, rumors will continue to swirl around teams like the Mariners.
