This may seem like a strange question, but it is a valid inquiry. After all, the fans want a win, and victory is not certain. This is not a situation where the Seahawks are just happy to make an appearance in New York.
Super Bowl appearances can be very rare, even for extremely talented teams. Just ask theSan Francisco 49ers, who were aRichard Shermandeflection away from being the NFC representative in the big game.
Fans can be very loyal, and they should be. This franchise has had its ups and downs over the years, but the loyal Seahawks faithful have been there. Is it finally Seattle’s turn to hoist the trophy?
The challenge is that even loyal fans can be realistic.Peyton Manningis really good. The Broncos can score a lot of points.Russell Wilsonis still a young quarterback. There is no guarantee thatMarshawn Lynchwill get going.Percy Harvinmay be rusty or ineffective.
In other words, it is not wise to be overly confident. The Seahawks have the talent to win this game, but the Broncos are not going to go quietly into the night.
