Seahawks Prey On The Falcons

They’ve remembered how to tackle! Dan Quinn, Defensive Coordinator, and his staff must have had some long talks with the defensive corps about stopping the running back or receiver before trying to strip the ball. The defensive line, linebackers, and Legion of Boom were all clearly more focused on stopping forward movement before trying to take the ball. As a result, the Falcons were unable to get many yards after contact. This resulted in the Falcons gaining only 64 yards on the ground and 162 yards through the air. Given that the Seahawks gave up over 200 rushing yards in each of the past two games, this is a big step in the right direction.
