Offense:
How do you grade the offense in a game like this? In the first half, the Seahawks just could not get anything done either on the ground or through the air. You could tell that Russell Wilson was missing a few offensive lineman because he was harassed all game long.
The Texans finished with five sacks and 10 hits on the quarterback. Wilson was doing his best Fran Tarkenton impression in the fourth quarter and barely escaped on several occasions.
From a numbers standpoint, the Seahawks were able to run the ball when it counted. Marshawn Lynch finished with 98 yards and an impressive 5.8 yards per carry. Wilson finished with 77 yards and an even more impressive 7.7 YPC.
Through the air Wilson was not good, mostly because he just didn’t have time. He did not find the end zone all game, threw a bad pick midway through the fourth quarter and finished with a subpar 49.7 QB rating.
Still, the offense got it done in the second half and Wilson led the Seahawks back with his brain and his feet.
Grade: B-
