Seahawks Fantasy Focus – Defense/Special Teams

Seattle put up 22 points last week against a big score offense in the San Francisco 49ers’. This week, look for at least that amount of production. The Jaguars are a miserable offensive team and Seattle’s D/ST is salivating at the mouth, just waiting for the kick off.
Most people thought the Seahawks would have a down game against the San Francisco 49ers and Colin Kaepernick, but ended up only giving up three points and sacking Kaepernick three times while picking him off three times as well.
Jacksonville has only scored one touchdown this season, and the probability of their offense breaking out and having a good game against the Seahawks defense is zero. Stud running back Maurice Jones-Drew is now dud running back Maurice Jones-Drew, and Jacksonville quarterbacks have only combined for a 55.7 percent completion rate. Seattle could record a shutout here, and Jags quarterback Chad Henne could give the Seahawks three interceptions again, making them the unquestionable No. 1 defense this week.
It’s scary to think that this defense will still be adding Brandon Browner, Chris Clemons and Bruce Irvin, the Richard Sherman-led secondary is so good it’s mortifying, and I’m not sure their absence even matters.
