Coaching:

For as much as we dislike the 49ers, we have to admit that they are a top team in the NFL. There’s a reason they were the favorites to win the Super Bowl and why many Power Rankings had them as the #1 team after their Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers.

It’s becoming more evident though that the Seahawks have their number. The Seahawks and 49ers split their season series in 2012, thought the 49ers win was by just six points. Pete Carroll and his staff have come up with great game plans and the players execute that plan to near perfection. Kaepernick had the worst game of his career. Frank Gore has been able to do what not many other runners have and tore the Seahawks defense apart the past few seasons. He was held to just 16 yards. Richard Sherman and company managed to keep Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis quiet the whole night.

The coaches continued to use their best offensive asset, Marshawn Lynch, the entire game. They kept pounding the ball and limiting the opportunity for turnovers, the only thing that would allow the 49ers back into the game.

The win was a great birthday present for Pete Carroll and it felt like it was our birthdays too.
