Defense:
You already know the grade the defense is going to get. Come one! Each Legion of Boom Member that was healthy enough to play had an interception on Colin Kaepernick. The 49ers QB had three interceptions all of last season and the LOB picked him off three time in just this one game. Earl Thomas started things off with a very crucial INT off a deflection when the 49ers were threatening to score the first points of the game. Richard Sherman then joined the party when he played a receiver perfectly and jumped into the air to pick the ball out of the air like a Pro Bowl wideout would. Kam Chancellor‘s INT was less impressive as all he had to do was stand there and let Kaepernick throw it directly into his chest.
The defense proved they are the best in the league by allowing Kaepernick to just 127 yards passing, Frank Gore to 16 yards rushing, and Anquan Boldin, who last week had 200+ yards receiving to just one catch and 7 yards.
Grade: A ++++
