If ever the Seattle Seahawks needed a wake up call, it came last week against the St. Louis Rams. Despite being favored by 13.5 points, they ended up on the wrong end of a 23-17 scoreline.

As a result, the Seahawks no longer have control over whether they will finish as the fifth or sixth seed in the NFC. With lingering injuries to key personnel such as Kam Chancellor and Russell Okung, a lot of people believe they should now save themselves for the postseason.

However, this isn’t Pete Carroll’s style. As such, expect Seattle to come out firing, especially as they look for revenge against their NFC East rivals, the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals will undoubtedly provide a big test for Carroll’s team. Not only are they arguably the best team in the NFL, but they also still have a shot – albeit unlikely – to claim home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
