Every year, right before spring training’s focus moves from workouts to intrasquad games, a sea of media folk invade Arizona and Florida to take countless thousands of photographs of athletes looking goofy. Well, okay – the players don’t look goofy in all the shots, but those are the ones we like the most.

Photo Day is an underrated aspect of spring training. As we’ve seen so many times, a player’s look can change pretty drastically over the course of a year, and it’s fun to have those snapshots of the way things were. To hell with celebrating pitchers and catchers, it’s Photo Day that deserves a countdown.
