Marshawn Lynch and Rob Gronkowski Play Mortal Kombat (Video)

Late Night host Conan O’Brien recently had a genius idea. Let’s put two of the biggest stars of the NFL into one room to play each other in one of the most violent video games in existence.

The results were comedic gold.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is known as the quiet, anti-media bad boy of the NFL. He’s reinforced that stereotype with his antics over the last three days at the various Super Bowl media events.

On the other side of the spectrum is New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. The media friendly behemoth has never turned down an opportunity to have fun with a group of reporters.

The two met with O’Brien and played the violent new Mortal Kombat X video game.

A few times during the video you see Marshawn and Gronk show genuine shock at the brutality of what they’re seeing. Lynch even gets up and walks away after an especially violent finishing move by his very own character.

And if you thought that some of the lines that have been made famous these past few days at the media day events are funny, you need to see what Lynch has come up with now.

After his female character shoots her opponents in the face, Lynch exclaims, “point-blank, in broad daylight. Rock-a-bye baby. Yeaaaahh, Hahaha. That’s that New Jack City boy!”
