I was hoping that this article would be a Playoff Preview. However, the good news is that this team is on the rise, with a ceiling as high as any team in baseball.

Signing Robinson Cano definitely made an immediate difference in our lineup. But we are still missing that one final piece between Cano and Kyle Seager in the batting order.

While adding depth is always good, there are a thousand guys the Mariners could add as a fifth outfielder or utility infielder. I’m going to focus on the “change the course of the franchise” type acquisitions.

We are set at every position with someone who either is, or has the potential, to be a solid everyday starter. Except for DH.

Our pitching staff is extremely talented, maybe even the best in baseball. But 3/5 of it is very young. And 4/5 of it has had injury problems.

Our three needs are DH (preferably right handed), rotational power hitting outfielder (preferably right handed), and starting pitcher.

Here are the best options that will be free agents this offseason, and the top Seattle Mariners 2015 Free Agent Targets .
