Will the Seattle Mariners Make the Playoffs? (POLL)

Just like that, the Seattle Mariners are back in the 2014 playoffs…sort of. At the moment, the Mariners are tied with the Detroit Tigers for the second Wild Card spot. Baby steps, right?

The Mariners are on the rise (three-game winning streak) and the Tigers are falling (four-game losing streak). Will the momentum continue? For both teams?

It is hard for some Mariners fans to get too excited at this point. The team is playing well, and there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic. There is only one problem. We’re talking about the Mariners here.

How are you feeling these days? Feeling good? Cautiously optimistic? Tell us how you are feeling in this poll:

The Mariners have 43 games to go. Lots of time for big wins, heartbreaking losses, injuries and momentum shifts. It would be fantastic to play some postseason baseball in Seattle, but there is much work left to be done.

Opponents are still too plentiful, and they aren’t going to go away quickly. The Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays are all in the hunt for a Wild Card spot, or in the case of the Royals and Tigers, the Central Division title. Even the Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay Rays could get hot and make a run.

Hold on tight, Mariners fans. It could be a crazy last few weeks of the season.
