________

When the 2013 NFL schedules were released, this game was possibly the most anticipated for Seahawks fans as it would match the Hawks with the team that had so narrowly eliminated them from the 2012 playoffs on a last second field goal.

There is no question the Falcons are one of the NFL’s biggest disappointments thus far. Many analysts picked the Falcons to be one of the best teams in the NFC, even grading them over the Seahawks. The Falcons come into the game with just two wins, compared to Seattle’s eight.

Despite the Falcons’ struggles, two of our staffers have committed the cardinal sin and have picked the Falcons to upset the NFC leading Seahawks once again.

Leave it to Golden Tate to make a one-handed, toe-dragging touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone look easy. Could Russell Wilson have thrown a more perfect ball?

Nice to a see a dominant first half by the Seahawks for a change.

Game MVP: Steven Hauschka? Thus far, 14 of the 26 points.

He’s been great but I think it’s either the O-Line, Golden Tate, or maybe Lynch.

      • Todd Pheifer

Agreed. I’m not really casting my vote for Hauch. :)

How is Michael Bennett supposed to avoid that sack when he is falling down and can’t help but hit Matt Ryan’s lower leg? If they really want to have that type of penalty, they have to look at the context of the play.

Irvin gets the flag for a helmet/shoulder to an opponents helmet/shoulder. Ok, fine. Now Bennett gets a penalty for hitting too low? What the hell?

I understand the goal of protecting the quarterback, but these defenders are really getting limited in how they can do their job.

And it’s been like this in almost every game. his was the first one I saw on hitting too low though.

I really want to see Marshawn get a rushing TD today. Seems like he’s been neglected with the scoring chances the past three or four weeks.

    • Todd Pheifer

Hey, look at that. You got your wish!

And there it is! 145 yards and a TD!

This game is well in hand. Put T-Jack in.
