Fantasy Focus Week 3: Marshawn Lynch

Marshawn Lynch is showing everyone his beastmode; the gifted tailback had 28 carries for 98 yards and two rushing touchdowns Sunday in a victory over the 49ers. He also added three catches for 37 yards and a receiving touchdown.

Lynch converted a hard-hitting Week 1 presentation with a punishing showing against a tough 49ers defense. All three of his scores came in the second half as the Seahawks get the most out of the 49ers’ turnovers and miscues. He faces a promising matchup in Week 3 against the Jaguars next on the schedule.

Lynch’s capability to score rushing and receiving touchdowns, is elite. Throw in his combined yardage and you have the creation of a fantasy widow maker.  Lynch had his second career game with a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown. Both have come against San Francisco. He has 45 carries for 141 yards and two touchdowns on the ground through two games.

Pete Carroll obviously understands how to implement Lynch’s talents correctly into the game. If he stays healthy he will be the bearer of bad news for all opposing defenses. I don’t see anyone challenging until a week 7 match-up at Arizona.

The Seahawks will host the Jaguars in Week 3. Jacksonville allowed 226 yards on the ground to Oakland in Week 2.

I project 21 points for the “Beast!”
