Seahawks vs Panthers Live Blog

The Seahawks and Panthers have kicked off the first week of the 2013 NFL season and are currently in the second quarter. Thanks to a Steven Hauschka field goal, the Seahawks are up 3-0 in what is a very similar game to last years Week 5 matchup.
Russell Wilson went 7 for 7 on the scoring drive after a very uneventful first few drives.
One thing that stands out is quarterback Cam Newton, Carolina’s offensive captain. Newton has threaded some beautiful passes between Seahawks defenders and has just completed a touchdown to Steve Smith for a 7-3 lead over the Seahawks. Were it not for a couple of dropped passes by tight end Greg Olsen, the Panthers would likely be leading by more.
